Detail takes time. My paintings can take me anywhere from 25-100+ hours to complete. This is because I paint in a lot of details, often use very small brushes on a relatively large surface, and I allow sections or even the entire surface to dry between paint layers to achieve the crisp lines and other effects I want.

Especially when I am working (in my non-painting vocation) during weekdays, there may be quite a wait to see the next finished painting. I try to post updates of work in progress fairly often so there's still something new to look at in the interim.
